McKenzie Towne Continuing Care Centre
James H. Brown and Associates has filed a class action lawsuit against the McKenzie Towne Continuing Care Centre (owned and operated by Revera Inc.).
There have been over 21 deaths as a result of the over 100 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the facility. Roughly 60% of confirmed cases are residents, with the remainder being staff.
COVID-19 outbreaks are not limited to the McKenzie Towne Continuing Care facility. Other Revera facilities across Canada also experienced coronavirus outbreaks. However, at one point, over 40% of Alberta’s COVID-19 deaths were of residents at this one centre.
