Trent Brown was born and raised in Edmonton. His career reflects a unique journey from elite professional athlete to respected leader in personal injury law. Known for his competitive drive, discipline, and commitment to his community, Trent has built a reputation for bringing the same intensity to the courtroom and boardroom that he once brought to the football field.

Trent’s accomplishments in football demonstrate a strong foundation in leadership and performance under pressure. While playing for the University of Alberta Golden Bears, he was twice named a First Team All-Canadian defensive back and finished his collegiate career as the program’s all-time interception leader — a record he still holds. He went on to play nine seasons with the Edmonton Eskimos, earning recognition as one of the top safeties in the Canadian Football League and contributing to the team’s 1993 Grey Cup Championship. In recognition of his impact on the organization, Trent was later voted to the Edmonton Eskimos All-Time Team as the starting safety. His contributions to sport and community were further acknowledged through his induction into the Edmonton Sports Hall of Fame.

After sustaining multiple concussions during his playing career, Trent retired from professional football in 1999 and pursued a career in law. Drawing from his own experience with serious injury, he developed a deep understanding of the physical, emotional, and financial challenges faced by accident victims. This perspective continues to shape his client-focused approach to personal injury law.

Trent’s background in team sports strongly influences his leadership style. He emphasizes accountability, preparation, and collaboration, while setting high standards for performance and client service. Under his leadership, the firm has grown into one of Alberta’s most recognized personal injury practices. His contributions to business and community leadership have been recognized with the Business Leader of Edmonton Award.

Continuing a family legacy, Trent later purchased the firm from his father and is now the sole owner. He has built a multidisciplinary team known for its experience, strategic approach, and commitment to achieving meaningful results for injured Albertans and their families. Today, the firm represents clients across the province and beyond, guided by Trent’s vision of combining legal excellence with strong community involvement.

“Leading an all-star team means building upon each other’s strengths to serve our fellow injured Albertans. Our clients deserve top-notch support, plain and simple. I know our team of injury lawyers is committed to standing up for our clients’ rights and securing compensation for their injuries.”
