James H. Brown’s dedication to helping individuals and families who have experienced serious injuries stems from his own personal struggles and experiences. At the age of 7, Brown endured a rare hip ailment that left him bedridden for a year and subsequently confined to a wheelchair for another year. Despite these obstacles, he persevered and even excelled in sports, becoming a member of the 1963 Memorial Cup Champion Edmonton Oil Kings hockey team. However, his aspirations for a professional hockey career were shattered at the age of 19 when he was involved in a devastating car accident caused by a drunk driver, resulting in a broken neck.

Brown’s journey to recovery was both arduous and enlightening, providing him with firsthand insight into the profound impact of catastrophic injuries on individuals’ lives. This personal ordeal became the driving force behind his commitment to advocating for those who have suffered similar situations. As the founder of James H. Brown & Associates, he has utilized his experiences and legal expertise over the past 31 years to build a team that ensures that individuals and families receive the support, compensation, and justice they deserve in the aftermath of serious accidents.
